recording vocals today.

3pm. wednesday. juan is up. me and jack are kickin it. wes is on his way here, probably paying for a bomb ass burrito as i write this. steven...that dude is probably taking a test or cleaning a chalk board or something, whatever people do at that thing called "school".  anyways, "tannerisms" is up first...

winter 09 recording. day 3,

recording bass today/tonight...


...just a lonely-ass cab in this one. we moved the amps/heads (and dude) into the control room to record this...  

...uhmmm, i forget why we did that...but i know there is a good reason why jack drilled a hole to run cables from both rooms. (i'll get back to you on that though, i'm sure it has to do with like the "organic-tone, overdrive, fullness, p90, flanger, distressor, compressor, schimatics" shit i dont understand).

anyways, steven killed it.  had 3 basses and 5 heads to choose from overall.  mixed things up for every song to get some crazy shit going on and a nice different vibe for them all.  he finished recording all of his bass tracks in about 4-5 hours.  jack was on the ones-and-twos.  i was chillin.

shit sounds better and better every time i come to jack's and hear these damn recordings. dude knows what the fuck is up and how to do it, for sure. crazy ideas are running through all of our heads for what we are gonna concoct when we record vocals.  i can't wait.  juans got some shit that he's stoked about trying/doing/killin.  i'm really really excited on these songs and this recording and trying some new shit.

winter 09 recording. day 2,

***i realized that all pictures and videos that were uploaded on the last blog were reversed...jack DOES NOT play a left-handed guitar...those are for fuckin jerks***

we are recording guitars today.  me and jack (duh).  and i made rachel come with me for "moral-shredding-support".

we have 3 songs done now.  there's jack gettin "siq-wit-it".  and "where am i when jack is there?" you ask???  hah, silly beans...well who do you think is behind the mixer producing theze hard hitz?!?!

when i'm in my zone, it looks something like that.  (i also have no idea what buttons i'm pressing, but definitely pressing a lot of them cause shit looks cool).

10 hours later. guitars are done. good day at the atomic garden. next up sometime next week is es-te-von.

winter 09 recording.  day 1,

friday. 3pm. tracking drums for the 7 songs.  

the atomic garden control room.

shit so far is going very well.  wez gotz drumz the way wez like drumz to zound...jack and wes got here at like 11am to demo drum sounds and get everything perfect.  and homeboy is already on song 3!!!  bustin' and blarin' the hot jamz for sure.

but yeah, wes is sweating.  jack is doing scratch-guitar with wes.  juan is asleep next to me.  i am online, chillin on punknews.org.  and steven is probably currently [the only one] making money so we can make him blow it on this band :)  ...below are pictures as followed...
