Day 24,
woke up at Felix and Maria's place, had some amazing breakfast. (Maria had cooked up some super awesome vegan pancakes that ruuuuled). after that, we walked down the street to get some ice cream from some local shop that had homemade flavors. shit was way good as well. Jack bought the biggest ice cream cone i've ever seen.
we were heading to Mannheim, Germany today (about 4 hours i believe). we had a full van today, it was us, Boss, Chris, Jenny, and Ralph (who was putting on our show in Mannheim but had come to the Aachen show the night before). so yeah, it was a sad time cause this was our last drive with Boss. he was taking us to Mannheim, then we would be switching vans and spending the rest of the tour with Felix and Maria in the new Trainwreck van, and then Boss would have to leave to Austria to go pick up Murder by Death and drive them around on a tour.
(fuck Murder by Death).
so anyways, we got to the venue, unloaded all of our stuff and hung out hard. the kids at the space brought out some snack foods while we chilled and spent our last few minutes with Boss. after a while of chillaxin' and talking about how we would see each other again (maybe even twice!, but for sure at Steven's wedding) next year, Boss had to leave. so yeah, sad-as-hell, we hugged and said our goodbyes.
but of course not before capturing these siq-azz promoz...
...i am pretty sure Boss is now my hero. dude totally rules and knows everything about anything. what a genuine, #1 siq-on-the-list, solid ass dude.
after Boss bounced, the kids from Loser Life showed up. cool stuff. they were playing this show too. i was pretty stoked on seeing them live again. they are from Cali as well, so it was rad getting to run into them here in Euroland.
dinner was served not to long after that. Jenny, from Aachen, had brought a bunch of stuff to cook and bbq for this show, so we had an outdoor bbq/dinner today as well. sweeeeeet.
there was a ton of stuff to choose from. everything vegan. they had these little "steak" things that totally ruled hard and this cream shit dat waz straight da'bomb.
the show started a few hours after dinner. a bunch of friendly faces again at this show...a whole crew from Giesen made it out. good shit. my buddy Hannes brought me a CD of a band that he put out on his label (thanks again dude!!!). he said if i was into Kid Dynamite, i'd be into this CD. and our other friend Sven brought Steven and Juan some book i guess they had been talking about. what fuckin awesome kidz.
anyways, this band called Actress played first. they were awesome. really nice kids, they had a Fall of Troy/Dillinger thing going on. really math-y stuff. i believe we are playing with them again on Thursday too which is cool. then after that was Loser Life...
...they were rad. just straight-up punx. Black Flag type pissed off and fast stuff. i'm into it. those guys are pretty fuckin ridiculous. we played after that. it was rad. Ralph made us play a Botch cover and threatened to not give us breakfast if we didnt play it. Euro Drunk-bot had a small appearance and got mangled pretty hard. he's in dear need of some duct-tape-surgery for sure. like real bad...cause homeboy has to make a cameo at Cry Me a River Fest for sure.
after the show, we stayed up pretty late just hanging and talking to Chris, Felix, Maria, Ralph, Jenny, and the Loser Life kids. played a few games of kicker (won twice), ate some awesome cupcakes, and heard a LOT of fart jokes (literally and not literally) come out of the Loser Life kids, then just went to bed.
"siq shit" list of 5 biatchez:
1. Juan saying he wants to find a parttime fry-cook job at some diner.
2. Ralph telling us his undying love for wresting and how for a while he was in some small-time, local wresting league. and i'm not talking about like "olympic style wresting", but i'm talking bout like real WWF shit with all the moves and crazy names and shit. he showed us his finishing move on me too. shit was ill.
3. Loser Life's ridiculousness.
4. the kids from Giesen.
5. Boss...
