Day 26,
woke up in Berlin at Robert's house, got ready, packed our shit, and headed over to his record shop for breakfast. (him and his buddy Stefan own Bis Aufs Messer, a super rad record shop in downtown Berlin). so yeah, that went like this...
...(damn, just noticed...look at Steven in those first 2 picz, he's like doing the same thing. like a mutha fuckcin statue er sumpthang. weeeeird). but anyways, their place is super rad. really nice lookin, and they got a damn good selection of stuff. plus both of those dudes are constantly putting out records left and right for awesome bands, so you know they got their shit correct. (ps, that new Ghostlimb LP is out, lookz fuckin T-as-hell).
after some awesome breakfast rolls, the 5 of us, Felix, Maria, Chris Crass, and Hilke went on a little tour of Berlin...just straight mobbin deep wit awesome kidz. we had time to kill cause the show today was in Dresden (which was only about an hour and a half away). so anyways, we first hit the streets for a nice little walk over to some pretty rad bike shop that Juan and i wanted to check out.
...and ps, shit was HOT as HELL outside. ridiculous.
...there's part of what is left of that wall that old-Berlin thought was a good idea.
...after a nice little walk, we got to that bike shop. it was pretty rad. little boutique track-bike shop with some ridiculous frames. wish i had tonz of loot. they had this fuckin Pista Concept frame i've never seen. shit was illmatic. the people were way nice there too. good shit.
anyways, after that, we headed over to the subway/trains and took a few of those to head more into the city's center...
...shit was fun. Berlin is super rad (and super big). i ran into another person from Spain while on the train. he was rad. only spoke Spanish. he happened to be at the show the night before...he told me he was gonna go jump into a pool...i was jealous.
after a few hours, we headed back to the record shop and had to say goodbye to Chris...
...it was pretty sad. that guy rules hard. such a nice dude. he is gonna TRY to make it out to our last show at Cry Me a River Fest, but he's not sure if he can.
so we jumped into our van and headed off to Dresden. the drive was chill. just really HOT. when we got to the venue, we unloaded, set up our shit, and had dinner...
...it was good. like some siq curry and bread (for siq dip-ige).
Zann played first and they were rad. heavy as shit. oh yeah, the place gave us free orange juice! i was stoked...i think i drank like 2 liters of it. shit was cold too. (double-booya) so anyways, we played after Zann. this show was reallllly good. the place let us play on the floor, and there were like a good 80-100 kids in this small place, so shit was packed. we had a ton of kids get on stage and just wrap all the way around us. it was fun as hell. (just REALLY REALLY hot). i dont think i've ever sweated so much. hah. but yeah, it went very well regardless.
after the show, all of us were just dead. we spent some time hanging hard with a bunch of the kids that came out. shooting the shit. i think Steven and Wes did laundry here cause they waz out of clean undiez r something. i went on the interweb and chatted it up wit stupid kidz back home. siq.
then we went over to the sleep room...
...and stayed up hanging and talking with Felix and Maria. they are both such awesome kidz.
"siq shit", i got 99 problemz but a...
1. seeing our buddy Lars ("Sleepy"), who also drove us last year on our tour, at this show and hanging with that dude.
2. listening to Jay Z's "Black Album" while writing this whole thing.
3. the dude we nick-named "Nintendo" almost getting kinda bummed out cause Jack almost touched his dude (...homeboy had a Nintendo-controler-belt-buckle...what do you expect people to do?!)
4. after the show, some kid being super stoked and wanting to drink beers, so i got us 2 beers and drank with dude and in mid-sip, him looking at me kinda bummed and just saying "i have school tomorrow".
5. constantly talkin shit on hella headz. hah. love it!..."feed me, feed me!!!"
