Day 7,

woke up on that hammock thing. one of the kids at the house looked at me and said "wow, you slept on that thing all night? usually people that try to sleep on that thing end up giving up in the middle of the night and just sleep on the floor"...i looked at him and said "yeah, i am a champion sleeper" (remember my blog entry from a few days ago...see! i told you! anytime, anywhere). anyways, soon after i woke up, the Aussitot Mort dudes started playing porker again, i joined them, they cracked jokes in French, i pretended to laugh. then i tried to get a straight and didnt and lost it all like a fuckin n00b.

...coincidentally, the dudes in Graf Orlock love cats so it works out very well.

after we all got up, the kids from the house took us on a little tour of Gent, we went to their downtown waterfront, passed by a castle that they have in town (u know, no big deal...just a fuckin real CASTLE in da middle of town...happens all the time). here's a few pics from that walk...

...this is my fave pic. just a bunch of awesomeness. i recommend visiting and hanging out in Gent sometime when you get a chance. i mean, i understand not all of you are lucky enough to be in a siq ass rock band that travels the world and shit...but u know...maybe 1 day you'll win the lotto or something (hah. jk jk). but really, put this place on your "to do list". i would love to come back someday and stay longer to get in some mad chill-ige.

so after some walking, we went to this veggie/vegan fast food restaurant. i had the "crispy cheese hamburger" and it ruled. super good. i also ate some of Boss' and Tobi's fries. they were damn good too. they had vegan tartar sauce and vegan gravy to dip the fries in. waaaaaay siq-ly good. and after lunch, we said goodbye to the Off Minor dudes and headed back to the van.

we were heading back to Germany for this show, to Tobi's hometown of Koln. this show also was gonna rule hard cause it was with Aussitot Mort, Trainwreck, and Who Calls So Loud. just a mad awesome friends-only hangout. Valentine, our buddy from Gent, was in our van going to this show with us too. we listened to Defiance Ohio, Paul Baurabue, and some new Trainwreck jamz.

when we got to the venue, we were greeted by two awesome kids: Manuel and his gf Anastasia (yeah, really! just like my "middle-name". sweet huh?). anyways, those 2 kids ruled and them and their buddies made us some sweeeeet curry for dinner.

...hah (he's stoked, i can tell). that's us hanging with the T-wreck and Who Calls kids. way good to see all those buddies :) oh, and also, a TON of kids from various places we played the first few days of this tour traveled out for this show too! it was awesome! a bunch of the "party" kids from Giesen, and kids from Mannheim, Aachen, and Bielefeld came out. it was way good to see those kids.

the show started soon after and it was WAY good. the room was pretty big but there was a good amount of kids that packed that place up. here's some pics...

good? yeah, good. the show was cool. i dont think we actually started until way past 1am (and we didnt end till after 2am), but kids were still there and kids were still way into it. it was fun. after that, we said our goodbyes to the Who Calls So Loud dudes (i thought we were playing with them more than just twice, but guess not...see ya in the Bay!) and to the Trainwreck kids (although we are gonna meet them again this Thursday and be together for a little over a week, so that should rule).


that's us, Aussitot Mort, some of the T-Wreck and crew, Who Calls So Loud and our buddies who put on the show. it was dark out, i dont think my way-outdated-camera likes the dark.

after that, we rolled over to Manuel's old place that he just moved out of and slept in his old bedroom. it was empty and full of space for all of us. good times. good night.
