Day 11,
here's some pictures from our show in Paris:

we woke up kinda early at Simon's house cause we had a long drive today (about 7-8 hours). not a lot happened today since we spent most of it in the van. we were driving out of France today to Neuenkirchen, Germany. for some reason Steven has all 3 "Lord of the Ring" books on CD ripped on his ipod (they are like 16 CDs each)...and for some reason Boss is really into Lord of the Rings too...so for some reason they thought it would be a good idea to listen to the ripped audio of the books on this whole car ride...
...i slept a LOT during this car ride.
7 or 8 CDs of the first book later, we got to the venue at Neuenkirchen. we were greeted by a super awesome dude named Thiel. the space was awesome. it used to be a bank, so it was all like super re-enforced and bullet-proof glass everywhere and shit. pretty cool.
today we also got our brand new shirts that we got printed super last minute by Boss' friend in Berlin. so yeah! we have shirts for tour now!!!!!! we are no longer screwed! the design is different, and its only 1 color, but they came out pretty damn good. they look like this...
...siq huh? we have grey shirts and like chocolate brown shirts.
the best part of this day was the freakin food we got for dinner. HOLY SHIT, it was fuckin amazing (i know i probably say this a lot, but like really...it was really good)...
...there were these little vegan riblets/steak in this amazing sauce, and these fuckin vegan dumpling things. god-f-in-dammit, SO good. and we drank on hellza spiettze (i really dont think that is how you spell it, but its way good. i believe it's a mix of coke, orange soda, and some vanilla flavoring...i mean, fuck, mix all 3 of those things together, NOTHING bad can come from that).
the show was really rad. 2 bands played before us. i forget the first band's name, but they were rad...they had a Strike Anywhere thing going on. the second band were our friends from Koln called Coming Up for Air. those guys were ridiculously nice and were talking about how they were gonna come out to our show in Aachen and to Cry Me a River Fest. (note: it's fuckin crazy siq. cause we are playing "Cry Me a River Fest" on our last day here in Europe. so it's our last show of the tour, and it seems like EVERYWHERE we have played on this tour so far, we have met awesome kids who are all like "see you at Cry Me a River!!!". so that show is seriously just gonna be the best way to end this tour. we're just gonna see and hang out with all the awesome kids we met the whole tour on that last day. fuck yes. stoked).
anyways, remember a few entries ago i talked about that whole "workout" thing that came over a lot of us. yeah, well apparently Jack and Boss started this thing that whenever they run into each other randomly, that they would have to greet each other by doing 20 pushups. so anyways, today, everyone got into the whole pushups/workout thing like way extreme (well, except for me of course, cause shit...come on...i'm fit like a fuckin fox). so yeah, before we played, we were all hanging out in the back room and everyone was just going NUTS doing pushups, situps, and random jumping-jaxs and shit like that (it was actually pretty fuckin funny), and then, out of nowhere Steven found these pieces of wood, and in mid-shittosterone-filled-excitement told Jack to hold one and he fuckin ninja-punch broke that shit hella hard! the whole room BUSTED out in complete laugher and manly "ohhhh!"s. (you know, like the type of "ohhhh"s you would give if your boy just bombed down Lombard Street on his siq no-breakz-ultimate-concept-fixie on a rainy day n' shit).
anyways, i managed to capture the single second right after the punch...
...i believe Jack's face is the funniest part of the pic.
heh. after that, we played. and it was a good show. kids were way into it.
after the show, i nerded it up hard online for a bit, talked to some friends back home (and in Spain) anddd yeah. after that, the kids at the venue broke out in a sweet dance party for a bit. it was good times. cold Beck's and cool dance jamz is what i'm talkin' 'bout...ya heard?
before going to bed, we got into conversation about Steven's wedding. we were all really stoked talking about it and talking about all the ridiculous things that are gonna go down that day :) the best part is that Steven invited Boss and he said that he actually believed he was going to be able to make it!!! him and his gf had been talking about making a trip out to Cali for a while now. so hell yeah!!! Boss' first time in the U.S.!!! next summer, the Bay Area (and L.A.) isn't gonna know what is going to hit it. Boss is probably the coolest dude ever and i can not WAIT to repay the favor and drive him around and show him around and eat hellza good food here and all that awesome jazz.
anyways, after all that stoked-talked, we called it a night and went to sleep.
siq shit list, top 5 sucka:
1. Boss being serious about coming to visit Cali next year.
2. finding out that Broadway Calls are playing with Rancid in SF.
3. someone stole a shirt from our merch table today. i guess we really can't be that mad...apparently he/she liked it so much that he/she had to steal it. so i guess that's pretty cool. i just hope his/her car blew up with him/her still in it on his/her way home that night.
4. Steven cut his finger from playing his bass, and for like the past 3 days he's been asking to use the neosporin that i usually carry in my bag...today before i gave it to him, for kicks, i checked the expiration date and realized it way expired like a year ago. i kinda laughed to myself and handed it to him to use...eh, if he doesn't know, he'll probably think it's working and in turn, it will probably actually work.
5. this...
